Frank Stronach sexual assault trial: seventh complainant testifies about alleged 1980s incident
The seventh and final complainant in Frank Stronach's Toronto sexual assault case testified Tuesday about an alleged encounter from 1982 or 1983. The woman, now in her late 60s, described being taken to Stronach's waterfront apartment after a dinner date, where she said he sexually assaulted her despite her resistance. The defence lawyer suggested the encounter was consensual, questioning why the woman returned to his unit and characterizing her as excited about going home with the wealthy businessman. The woman rejected this characterization, stating that what matters is that she was raped. Stronach, 93, the founder of Magna International, has pleaded not guilty to 12 charges related to seven complainants, with some counts already withdrawn by prosecutors.
