Ventilators and other critical equipment at Victoria Hospital's trauma center malfunctioned in June 2025, with repairs delayed for nearly a year due to issues with a third-party service provider. Hospital authorities terminated the contract and are now sourcing repairs directly from the original manufacturer, with most ventilators already fixed. The Karnataka Lokayukta has taken suo motu cognizance of the irregularities, which rendered six ICU beds unusable.
