The Karnataka government has dismantled a suspected counterfeit medicine network in Bengaluru, seizing fake drugs valued at nearly ₹5 crore. A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has been established to investigate the network, which allegedly supplied counterfeit life-saving medications and ICU injections to over 90 hospitals and clinics. The investigation has revealed interstate connections, with more than 15 medical representatives implicated in the distribution of these counterfeit products.
