Nearly two years on, white-topping of 1.3km road in Bengaluru’s Malleswaram remains unfinished
White-topping work on a 1.3-kilometer stretch of Malleswaram's 8th Main Road, approved in June 2024 with a November 2025 deadline, remains incomplete after nearly two years, causing significant disruption. The project, costing Rs 15.5 crore, has led to the closure of the road, rerouting of BMTC buses, and reported business losses for local shops, with full completion now estimated to take another two months. Delays are attributed to utility replacement work by BWSSB and a transfer of the project from BBMP to Bengaluru Smart Infrastructure Ltd in September 2025.
