Consumer data migration: BESCOM halts online services for 21 days in Bengaluru
Bangalore Electricity Supply Company (BESCOM) will suspend all online services for 21 days, from June 10 to June 30, to facilitate the migration of consumer data to a new IT application. During this period, services such as applications for new electricity connections, name transfers, load enhancement requests, and online bill payments will be unavailable. Consumers can still pay their electricity bills through third-party payment channels like PhonePe and Google Pay.

Two parked cars set ablaze near metro pillar in Malleswaram
Two parked cars were set on fire near metro pillars in Malleswaram late on June 4. The vehicles, which had been seized by the police and were parked outside the residence of a rowdy-sheeter, were engulfed in flames shortly after a police patrol visited the area.
